Letter From Building Committee Chairman

Decemeber 27, 2007

From the ILC Building Committee

As you may have heard, the Ingram remodel phase of the current ILC building project is nearing completion. HVAC, replacement windows, insulation, lighting, and electric upgrades are all completed. A few items remain, the largest of which is the stripping and painting of the exterior. This is a rather substantial project which includes chemically stripping the redwood shake siding and then re-priming and painting.

Since this project would likely occupy a crew for almost an entire painting season, we are soliciting bids from both local and out-of-the-area companies that might find themselves short of work for the upcoming painting season. CLC members or their employers who do this sort of work are invited to bid on the project. Please contact me at mjroehl@bis.midco.net for further details.

We are also looking for individuals or companies to bid on gutter replacement, floor refinishing, and carpet sales and installation. Obviously volunteer labor and donations in any of these areas would free up capital for use on the Academic Center itself, but if we have to pay for the work, we would rather keep it “in-house” as much as possible. Again, please contact me at the above address with any questions or offers.

Thanks for considering,
Mike Roehl
